The Student Departmental Senate is open to all Chicana and Chicano Studies majors and minors and any U.C.L.A. students interested in being a Chicana and Chicano Studies major or minor. Join the Student Departmental Senate to become a part of the official student voice of Chicana and Chicano Studies at U.C.L.A. You can also participate in planning the events for the S.D.S., such as the Raza Mixer and Open House. Have input on committees such as:
Community Relations and Development
Curriculum: we will be discussing the issue of transfers getting credit for the introductory courses of CS10A and CS10B, and the possibility of having a Gender and Sexuality Studies requirement for majors and minors.

CHICANO 191-3: Great Wall Restoration
“The Great Wall” is painted on a half-mile concrete-retaining section of the Tujunga Wash in the San Fernando Valley. Together we will be working to restore “The Great Wall of Los Angeles” mural, a half-mile long monument and landmark visually recording the varied ethnographic histories found in California ranging from prehistoric times to the 1950s. |
