Thank you for your interest in applying to the UCLA Chicana/o Studies Ph.D. program for 2018–19.  UCLA is transitioning to a new admissions system. We are trying to minimize disruptions to applicants and recommenders, however, we strongly suggest that you prepare your application documents offline, including the statement of purpose and any writing samples or attachments.

When you begin working online, please remember to save your work often.  If technical issues arise, you may be asked to resubmit part of your application.

The letter of recommendation submission module has been taken offline temporarily. Please see the chart below for guidance on completing your application and submitting your letters of recommendation.

PLEASE CHECK BACK TO THIS WEBSITE ON NOVEMBER 15. On that date, we expect that the transition will be complete, and you can finish applying to the program.  MEANWHILE, PLEASE PREPARE YOUR STATEMENT OF PURPOSE, OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS, YOUR REQUESTS FOR LORS, AND OTHER APPLICATION DOCUMENTS. On November 15, we hope you will be ready to complete the uploading of your full application.

Thank you for your patience as we work to ensure a smooth transition for applicants and recommenders.
